The public cover story is that the group is celebrating The President's birthday. Beneath the celebration, the crew is moving and protecting a valuable cure. The President walks in behind The Doc, smiling. It's his birthday, October 31st. That's what she says, anyway.
The Story
The birthday party moving through the city is the cover. The President is the reason everyone is gathered — or so it appears. The table toasts The President. But the room shifts.
The Doubting Thomas thinks The Doc didn't come for a birthday. The True Believer thinks she did. The Party Patient doesn't care. Lucky knows: The Doc never does just one thing.
At the final stop, everyone toasts The President. The package has arrived. The Doc smiles at Ali B. Done. Nobody notices. The night folds into itself — birthday and mission, celebration and secret, all wrapped in the same toast.
