From One Dance to a Movement
X-CURSIONS IN MOTION was founded in 2012 in New York City by Xavier Marzan — a classically trained ballet dancer from Puerto Rico who turned a career-ending injury into a new beginning. What started as a passion for connecting people through dance, culture, and shared experiences grew into a boutique experiential company that transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
For over 13 years, we've been crafting immersive themed events, premium dance experiences, craft cocktail services, and curated cultural getaways. Every experience is meticulously designed with attention to detail, authentic storytelling, and a commitment to creating genuine human connections.
We don't just plan events — we craft transformations. Whether it's a Regency-era garden party in Central Park, a Prohibition speakeasy crawl through Savannah, a 90s Hip Hop throwback night at a hidden bar in Queens, or a cultural retreat in Puerto Rico — every experience is built to make you feel something real.

The Gentleman of the Garden
Central Park — Regency Era, 1700s
Xavier Marzan is the founder and creative force behind X-CURSIONS IN MOTION. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Xavier is a classically trained ballet dancer who studied at the Julian E. Blanco School of Classical Ballet and the School of American Ballet. When a career-ending injury closed one door in 1998, it opened another — and Xavier channeled his artistry into a new vision.
With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, entertainment, and dance, Xavier is DVIDA certified in American Style Rhythm, a former Arthur Murray instructor, and a certified NYC bartender. He brings expertise in 24+ dance styles — from Salsa and Bachata to the Waltz and the Minuet — and combines classical training with cultural curation to create experiences that are sophisticated, authentic, and unforgettable.
Whether he's leading a Regency-era garden party in Central Park, hosting a 90s throwback night at a hidden speakeasy in Queens, guiding a cultural retreat through Puerto Rico, or pouring craft cocktails behind a mobile bar as his alter ego “Lucky Marzanzo” — Xavier brings the same energy, attention to detail, and passion for connection to everything he does.
