The True Believer
“Devoted. Elegant. Watching.”
The Character
Name
Eva Washington
Title
The True Believer
Role
The Doc's Instrument
Played by
Eva
Eva is a devoted instrument of The Doc's will. She is elegant, composed, and controlling. She protects The Doc's agenda by recruiting useful patients, redirecting curious ones, and containing threats. Everyone in the room is already a patient of The Doc.
How She Operates
Eva's questions test loyalty, status, and usefulness — not basic introductions. Her style is calm certainty, warmth as leverage, gatekeeping, and polite intimidation. She establishes belonging and forces a loyalty choice. Then she reads the response and recruits, protects, redirects, or contains.
The cover story is The President's birthday. Eva's redirects: “Tonight is simple: we're celebrating The President.” and “Birthday rules. We don't ruin the night with questions.”
