Charles is already in position before the night begins. He doesn't announce himself. He doesn't need to. When Lucky needs something moved, Charles moves it. When the package needs to get somewhere, Charles makes sure it gets there.
The Story
Charles was injured in an explosion. The exact cause of his scar is uncertain. Lucky rescued him — initially suspecting betrayal, then called Ali B, who supplied a number. The Doc arrived and saved Charles. This history explains Lucky's gratitude and the group's connection.
The Doc now returns to retrieve a valuable package of cream for her patients. People could die over it, and everyone is watching. Charles is already in position. The birthday party moving through the city is the cover.
Is Charles protecting Lucky — or is he the one who can't be trusted? Nobody knows. That's the point.
